Projects in Code, Craft, and Curiosity

GrimShadow

About: GrimShadow

Welcome to Grimshadow.net, my little corner of the internet where code meets cast iron, CNC meets sourdough, and curiosity is the only real theme.

The GrimShadow watching

I’m a self-taught programmer, tinkerer, and all-around builder of odd and useful things. Over the years I’ve worn many hats:

🛠️ Internal tools & app developer – Building custom utilities that make workflows simpler and smarter
🔧 Laser technician & CNC programmer – Writing G-code, repairing machines, and streamlining production processes
📊 Automation problem-solver – Turning repetitive tasks into one-click scripts or web apps
🍞 Kitchen experimenter – Writing and sharing recipes, guides, and food science deep-dives
🔨 Amateur blacksmith – Hammering hot steel into useful or sometimes just interesting shapes

Grimshadow is where all those interests collide. You’ll find a mix of practical tools (like my G-Code Visualizer), coding projects, technical guides, cooking experiments, and whatever else I’m learning or building next. It’s not a single topic. It’s a portfolio of curiosity in motion.

Why Grimshadow

The name started as a kind of mask. Like many people, I wrestle with imposter syndrome. Grimshadow was originally an anonymity filter, a way to create and publish without feeling like I had to stand at the center of the stage.

Over time it became more than a mask.

I’ve always been drawn to the imagery of the reaper, not out of darkness but as a reminder that our time is finite. Eventually all of us become shadows. What matters is what we leave behind: the people we’ve touched, the tools we’ve built, the work we’ve done.

Grimshadow is my way of leaving things behind. Experiments, ideas, tools, and guides, so that something remains after me. It’s about building, learning, and sharing in spite of self-doubt.

What I Do

If you’re looking for someone who can build custom internal apps, utilities, or automation scripts tailored to your workflow, or help you prototype a niche idea, that’s where I shine.

I work best on small to medium-scale tools that solve real, everyday problems inside businesses or personal projects, like:

📁 Internal web apps for tracking data or streamlining operations
⚙️ Lightweight automations to replace tedious manual work
📊 Custom visualizers, converters, or calculators
🖨️ CNC and laser-related tooling and scripts

If that sounds like what you need, feel free to contact me. I’m always open to interesting projects.

What Grimshadow Stands For

Grimshadow is about curiosity, creativity, and legacy. It is about building things that might outlast me, whether that’s a line of code, a guide that helps someone learn, or a tool that saves someone time. It’s messy, experimental, and evolving, and that’s exactly how I like it.
